Updates Evolve Finance News May 2021 Our Sellafield 24 NEWS Teams across Sellafield are celebrating following today’s Wave Awards ceremony. The event was held virtually for the first time. The winners of the Pride Awards, Wave Awards, Manifesto Award and CEO Award were all announced at the event. More than 220 people joined the event from the comfort of their own home or workstation. Chief Nuclear Officer Euan Hutton hosted the event and presented the Wave Awards. Head of Corporate Affairs, Jamie Reed presented the Pride Awards. Martin Chown closed the event by announcing the CEO Award winner. The event kicked off with a keynote speech from NDA chief executive, David Peattie, who praised the successes of Sellafield Ltd employees. He said: “The last financial year posed an extraordinary challenge to each of us as individuals and as organisations, and your work in these unprecedented circumstances is even more impressive because of this.” Euan said: “Despite the challenges of the pandemic and of some of our teams working remotely, we were delighted to receive more than 190 applications to this year’s awards across the Waves and Pride categories. “Congratulations to our finalists and of course to our winners. “It is always an honour to host these events, I am so looking forward to being able to see you all and celebrate with you all in person in the future and to have the opportunity to be reminded of the range and scale of your achievements.” AND THE WINNERS ARE…
