What can I do to care for my community and environment? Here’s a few things to get you started: Reduce household energy use – use daylight as much as possible, choose renewable energy, find out your carbon footprint and start to offset it. Stop unwanted mail – on average one year’s worth of emails received equals 0.6 tonnes of CO₂e. Rely less on your car – drive less, drive green – walk, bike or carpool to work. (When safe to do so) Purchase fair-trade products – make sure your big purchases have big environmental benefits. Dispose with disposables – go plastic free, buy products with less packaging. Avoid, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Resell and donate items – share with friends or borrow. £ Plant seeds. Save water. Volunteer. Eat locally.
